Lightroom: add Caption field under photos (view options)

I am a heavy user of Flickr and use Light Room (LR) to upload my photos. With my experience one feature I would like to see in future LR versions is to have an option to display an editable "CAPTION" field under each photo.

I usually do batch IPTC data adding in LR, but once the photos appear on Flickr, most of the time I find the captions used are wrong and correcting it on Flickr makes the workload double.

At the moment in LR, the photo and the CAPTION field are located far apart hence the error goes undetected easily till it appears on Flickr where the caption sits right under the photo ideally.

You could have this feature as an option under: LIBRARY module > View > View Options

Thank you

You can already customize what metadata is shown on thumbnails frames. Yes, you do it in "LIBRARY module > View > View Options".

You cannot make it editable, but as far as I can understand from your FR, the main point is displaying next to the photos, so that you don't miss an incorrect/empty caption because of the distance between the photo and the metadata panel.
