It would be cool to have the possibility to lock the settings groups in the edit mode.
Like we have the possibility to the turn groups on or off, there could be a tiny lock near the on/off button to open and close the possibility to change the settings.

Fro Example:
When we apply a preset after that we made the basic editing in the tone group and i don ́t want the preset to change those settings it will be great to have the possibility to lock them.
I think it ́s an easy feature to apply that would make a lot of us happier...

What you think ?

There is a switch to turn the section on or off. To Show or hide whatever you did in that section. Usually in the title bar of the section.

I know, but that does not lock the settings inside. If you use a preset on that picture that also change  settings inside that section the changes will happen even if the section is turned off.

A preset should not change the basic group, unless you want that preset to do this. If you save a new preset (or update an existing preset), then make sure you only check those things that the preset is actually changing and is supposed to change. Don't check anything else. That way you wouldn't need to lock anything when you apply the preset...

You say it. It "Should not" but you never know, and you don ́t  know what other settings is a preset going to change or reset if you haven ́t create that preset.
If i like the look of a preset but i want to be shure that my basic setting or other setting don ́t get changed it will be great to lock those setting.

If you like the look of a preset, and that preset changes your Basic settings, then locking the Basic settings means you won’t get the look you liked...

There is a simple work around however. Apply the preset, then either update the existing preset or create a new preset, and this time make sure you uncheck all the Basic settings.

It ́s a work around as you say.
The lock feature would make a lot of things easier. Think about it...not only for basic settings.
Lens corrections, calibration, WB, Transform and so on...

I disagree. Like I said, if a preset changes some block, then locking that block changes the effect of the preset. What you ask for is a lock to block a poorly saved preset from changing a block that it shouldn't change. The real solution is not to use poorly saved presets.
