We are  advanced Photoshop users who do image work for websites and commerce sites -  there is one feature that we continually wish we  had -  the ability to "export as previous" or "export to specific folder"  while using the Photoshop Export utility.

You have provided expanded functionality in the form of specifying output file type , and radio buttons that give us the choice to "ask where to export each time" , or "exporting files to an asset folder next to the current document".    Kudos for that, that is a start.

Here is the issue :    Most of us retrieve files from multiple locations, and sometimes network drives like DropBox, Goole Drive, etc .   So while we are generating optimized images for use online - we really hate having to specify where to save each file locally each time  as it wastes a ton of time and mouse clicks.   Saving it to an asset folder next to the original image does not help either as mentioned - the resources are in multiple locations.

PLEASE give us the option to save to a SPECIFIC output folder,   or ,  better yet,  the ability to "Export as Previous" so we can name our own output folder for each job and have the export utility drop the file there.       This would he a HUGE hit with anyone doing web work and I suspect would be a huge benefit to photographers as well.

We have been able to write a script / droplet to do some of this work ,  but we often have to crop and re-size client assets manually,  on the fly and that requires a human eye - scripts only get us 1/2 way .

You have been very responsive to us in the past,   hopefully this is something you will consider implementing in a future release.

Thanks for listening -  Mark Kilian,  President,  6IXGUN.COM

What is frustrating is that there are poorly (or not at all) documented settings which show that this may have been on the roadmap for future iterations, but it hasn't been pursued.

For instance, there is a generator override for the default "-assets" folder, but it is a GLOBAL change that requires you to restart the generator and exports to that exact location, regardless of what document is open.

There is also an undocumented "GeneratorSettings" property on layers that, as far as I can tell, is never used by anything.
