LIGHTROOM Face Recognition Draw Tool Not Working 50% of the Time

Draw tool for face recognition does not work about 50% of the time when I manually draw a face region. I click, drag the box to fit the face, and let go of the mouse button. Nothing happens more than half the time. I repeat until the face recognition box finally appears and then type in a name. Also, the box is not visible when repositioning it. This means it is difficult to get the box centered on the face without guessing where to release the mouse button. It usually takes two to three tries to get the box to center. By the way, when dragging the box to a new location, the entire Lightroom environment becomes very sluggish and jerky which also makes aligning the face recognition box difficult.

What is really strange for me is that I'm moving the mouse around an image, and around the edges the Face Region Tool turns into a drawing cursor, but in the middle where the faces are (perhaps 40% of the image) it is just a normal arrow.

I have a workaround I just figured out - draw the box in the corner, then add the name. Then move the box to the right place.

Like James, it seems sporadic
