The extract feature in previous versions of CC 2015.5 was extremely useful in finding the distance between layers, measured in pixels.  Programmers used this feature extensively to build websites based on layered PSD files.  If two layers were side by side, it would tell you the distance between them.  If the two layers were nested, then it would tell you the distance between the left edge of the outer later and the left edge of the inner edge.  It would also tell you the same distance on the right side as well.  (Margins)   There is not a way to do this in Photoshop app.  I spend over 20 minutes on the phone with support trying to figure out how to do it. fail.
