Photoshop CC 2014: I can't get Extract Assets to work

After the latest PS update Extract Assets doesn't work anymore.
Can't even preview images in Extract Assets dialog. When Extract, nothing is saved in folder. Automatic assets generation doesn't work too.
Checked my host file, it doesn't have any Adobe blockers.

Photoshop 2014.2.2 Release on Mac Yosemite 10.10.1.

Sorry, I asked someone more familiar with the new extract assets feature to respond (but most folks are out on holiday).

I would try two things:

Try restoring your preferences: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201... If you do restore your prefs, please save a copy of your existing prefs in case they turn out to be the culprit. Having the bad prefs can sometimes help us track down the issue.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new Admin user account and run Photoshop from the new user account to see if the problem goes away: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Hi Heffrey,

thanks for your advices.

Just tried both, didn't succeed.

Is there a chance that reinstalling PS might help? If so, is there any way to reinstall PS without downloading it again? I'm in China with super slow internet.

Thanks.

I don't think so, but here's a tip for future reference. You can download installers for local back up: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Hi Denis can you email me manian@adobe.com ? I would like to set up a screen sharing session to debug the issue.

Hi folks we helped Denis with this issue. The issue was resolved when Denis was able to reinstall Photoshop. Seems like some files necessary for Extract Assets to work did not install completely. A full reinstall fixed it.
