Extra steps to export from LR CC now, correct?

I just edited a batch of photos in the new LR CC, returned to my desktop to export them.  I used to be able to just select the smart collection and export it (on my desktop) as I would photos that I edited normally.  Now, with the new LRCC, I have to save the original and settings, then import it into LR Classic, then export it.  Is there a quicker way?  I liked the old way because I could start editing on my laptop, then switch to my desktop and add presets.  This just seems like a time waster to me - is there an easier way?

If your LR Classic is still set to sync with the Adobe cloud, then any images you work on in the new LRCC app will also be in the Classic catalog as well. Any edits you do in either app will sync to the other, specifically in your case the edits done in LRCC should also be seen in LR Classic. Therefore, in that situation you can export those images from LR Classic the way you are used to.

So the key question is: is the LR Classic catalog still set to sync with the Adobe cloud?

Yes it is still set.  I uploaded photos on to the new LR CC, did the edits, then went back to my computer and couldn't process them without the steps listed above.  LR Classic isn't acknowledging any cloud images.

The number of images in the All Synced Photographs special collection in the LR Classic's Catalog panel should match the number of images in the All Photos album in LRCC. If these numbers do not match, and syncing is definitely enabled (look in the Activity Centre to make sure you see the "two vertical bar" pause icon on the "Sync with Lightroom mobile" entry), then probably you've got something "stuck" in the sync process. In Classic, look at the "Lightroom CC" tab of the Preferences, the bottom panel will show any pending sync activity. Does it?
