I opened up LR 5 today and none of my external drives are displayed in my library. If I attempt to import, i can see them all listed in the destination frame. how do I get them back into my Library?

I'm not following this thread really.
I have a new Seagate external hard drive.
I did import 2 files from 2 folders I have established on the drive.
So now I see the drive
But I only see the 2 raw files on my drive
I do not see any of the other raw files on the new drive

Not sure what to do.

Hi all,

My external hard drive is no longer showing up in my 'folders' panel at all. I am on a Mac and originally imported all the photos onto the external hard drive, then imported them from there into Lightroom (so no moving around).

I opened up lightroom after fiddling with some back catalogues, and now the hard drive doesn't show up at all. I am worries that by opening up an old catalogue perhaps it deleted all of my lightroom edits for these new photos?

Please help!

Many thanks,

It's more likely that you simply have reopened the catalog you'd been working with. Perhaps search for *.lrcat files and check their modified dates?

Can someone help me?
I moved all my photos from 'Macintosh HD' to 'TLW external HD', but when I try to find the photos, LR won't recognise the EHD ie it doesn't show up on the list of options to choose from
