Exposure Adjustment creates weird color shift

This is a problem I've recently started noticing, but I do not know when it surfaced. The exposure slider shifts color in an unnatural way and unlike any other exposure/curves adjustment in adobe products. It becomes especially noticeable and frustrating when doing brush-work that involves the exposure slider, as the side by side color shift is very apparent

Observations:
- Most apparent on warmer colored surfaces
- Sliding the exposure up tends to saturate and shift the color, sliding down tends to neutralize and remove color
- Only affects non-raw images

Seeing as how exposure and curves across lightroom and photoshop affects a RAW file in a neutral fashion (neither increasing or decreasing the apparent saturation), I am assuming this is a bug that has yet to be addressed.

I am providing a couple illustrations to show how far off lightroom is in the mix of exposure adjustments. The second example I tried to use white balance and saturation on the brush to neutralize the adjustment for demonstration purposes.
What do you think?
