exporting RAW files to another folder. On synchronising - States the number of images to be imported but I get the error message ... No photos or videos were found to import. I upgraded to LR v 2015.10 and Camera Raw 9.10 Exporting other file types seem to be ok.

You're talking about exporting and importing in the same paragraph... which are you trying to do?

Sorry......exporting from one file to another. I export to a file then when I select the Synchronisation button it informs me that there are 4 files to import.......but will not recognise RAW files when it did yesterday. Hope that helps!

Telling you there's 4 files to import but not actually importing them would suggest they're duplicates. But that would suggest you're exporting them as original format, actually creating duplicates, which would be a very odd workflow, hence my confusion. In the Export dialog, what format are you exporting to?

I exported a tiff file earlier but retrying that just now I find that I can't export any file type and synchronise the folder

I am moving them to a folder to back them up. These are edited RAW files but I can't export any files now

I managed to resolve this.....I was using a focus stacking technique where several images of the same thing (but with unique and consecutive file numbers) were taken using different depth of focus. I unticked the "don't import suspected duplicates" and the files synchronised fine.
Problem solved.....and thanks for the interest Victoria.

Hmmm, duplicate checking shouldn't be picking up files that had different original filenames, so I'm inclined to think there's a glitch in your workflow somewhere (to move to a different folder, you're better to drag and drop... and if you're copying to a backup, they don't need to be in the catalog), but if you're happy, I'm happy.
