Lightroom: Exported images no longer have my watermark on them

I have used Lightroom CC for over a year. within the past 1-2 weeks, it has stopped exporting the watermark on my images. I have checked all settings. I am trying to export with a text watermark and have done so several times a week for a year. Is there a flaw in the latest version perhaps. Has anyone else reported this issue? Thanks for your help.

Hi Alan, are you 2015.2.1? If so, I'd suggest rolling back to 2015.1.1. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/... Let me know if that fixes your issue. We're planning an update very soon to return some functionality and fix the instability issues.

Alan, what OS are you using?

What Font are you using for your Watermark?

Did you recently change any of your Watermark settings, i.e. the Font, the Proportional Size (in the Watermark Effects section of the Watermark Editor)?

Anything else changed, e.g. camera, export file size?

Windows 10...I have made no other changes...I would have to check the font, but I have tried with the default watermark and it does not work either. I have made no changes and as stated, the default one does not show either. Camera is same, export files have remained same type.

If by "default watermark" you mean the "Simple Copyright Watermark" preset, be aware that the resulting watermark is so small that it can easily go unseen, especially if the bottom left corner of the image is light.

It would be good to know what font you normally use, there is a long-standing watermark bug which I can still recreate on the Win10 platform (but not OSX) using the Lucida Calligraphy font (though there are likely others as well). But the bug also depends upon a combination of the "Proportional Size" setting and the pixel dimensions of the original image and the exported file.

So I decided to check one more time before I gave you the info on the watermarks, and now they work again. I rolled back to 1.1. and they did not work, today they work on 1.1 so I'm alittle afraid to update LR, suspecting they may not work again on 2.1...any suggestions?

Odd, but good, that it's now working again.

Although I don't see any general failure of the watermark feature, apart from that bug with one or two specific fonts, I'd think staying at your current version level until the next update is released would be advisable (especially as that was Jeffrey's suggestion).

Well I may have spoken to soon. Here are my findings. At first I thought it was the font. I changed the font and exported 4 images, I checked the first image and the watermark was there. I went back later and checked the images and only 1 of the for were watermarked. So I changed the font again and it watermarked all 4 this time. I cant seem to find 1 thing that is consistent with this issue. Right now it seems to be working, but I am having to change fonts in all of my watermarks to get it to work sometimes. Weird situation.

I had the same problem and just changed the font from Tunga to Tohoma and it fixed the problem.  This was very helpful! Thank you!

I'm having this problem as well, only my watermark is a graphic element so changing the font won't help.  I've also tried switching to the simple watermark and it doesn't appear using that either.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a browser like Windows File Explorer to check for the presence of the watermark on small-scale thumbnails?
