Is there any way at all to export edited photos in RAW using Lightroom 3. Why do you make it that you can only export in .tiff or .dmg? Is there a 3rd party plug-in that will let me do this??? (mac)

Yes, you simply select "Original" format in the File settings section of Export dialog, see attached screenshot. Note, however, that if you are exporting proprietary RAW files (CR2, NEF, etc) the export will consist of a straight copy of the original file, plus an XMP sidecar file containing your edit information and any other metadata that you have applied.

Not possible.

That's like saying you want to bake cookies and serve the baked cookies as their raw ingredients.

That doesn't make sense. CR2 is a read only file and the pixels would never be physically 'Edited.' If you use XMP sidecar files (which are the metadata instruction set of edits) I believe Exporting the .cr2 will export the XMP sidecar file with the .cr2. If you want to the metadata instruction set of edits along with a preview of your edits to be included with your raw file, you'd need to convert the .cr2 files to DNG files.
