Trying to export slideshow I just created as video (780p), Lr simply does nothing and waits for hours in the same status as you can see in screenshot attached here. No file has been created on path destination, i.e. Desktop in my case.

Play and preview options work great, including transitions and music playback.
My hardware:

Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance

Is the slide show images only? Do you have video? Music?

When you export the slideshow to video, do you see Lightroom processes named 'amecommand', 'dynamiclinkmanager' and 'dynamiclinkmediaserver' running from the Mac OS X Activity Monitor?

well... amecommand is not within active processes; on the other hand, dynamiclinkmanager and dynamiclinkmediaserver are both in execution at 0 cpu percentage.

@Rikk: I have about 700 images in my slideshow with about 10 mp3 music tracks. I made some tests and after I disabled music panel, the encoder started correctly processing slides and creating file on desktop... so probably my trouble is due to music add-on :) I'm going to do some more tests and let you know my considerations... thanks in advance for your help

Try the following diagnostic steps:

And if user can export a video file in the library module.

1) Check if you can export a video file in the library module. Go to the library module, pick a video file and export it to your desktop. Does it work and the 'amecommand' process is running during the export process?

2) Check if user can export just one photo in the slideshow module. Create a slideshow from a single photo.

For 2) Please
double check if you have has read/write permission the cache folder "/Users/your login account/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/velo”.

1) I found "15/06/16 21:19:00,000 kernel[0]: process amecommand[624] caught causing excessive wakeups. Observed wakeups rate (per sec): 155; Maximum permitted wakeups rate (per sec): 150; Observation period: 300 seconds; Task lifetime number of wakeups: 45004" in console created - I suppose - during exporting slideshow once that  music was disabled.
2) yes! I exported successfully about 8 photos slides as mp4 to desktop and I can confirm that "velo" has read/write/exec permission for my user that is even owner of the folder

This still happens even on LR CC 2015.10, the only way to actually make it export is just to purge the video cache a couple of times and if you are lucky, it will export. This is on my Macbook pro retina. MacOS Sierra 10.12.4.

I encountered the same issue last night. The issue for me was the RAW file format. When trying to work with RAW files in the slideshow module I could not export to video. The progress bar wouldn't move at all. Once I exported all of the images as Jpg's, and recreated the slideshow I had no issues with exporting, even as 1080.

Hope that helps.

Same problem... no fix, but take a look at a "work around" at https://youtu.be/XxzLOPMmX14 All I can tell you is that it worked for me - my slideshow had RAW files, video, landscape and portrait orientation, and music....  Abode must be able to address this.  Good luck

THANK YOU, George!!! One problem solved. Now if I can just figure out why Lightroom crashes sometimes when I sync image settings, or just randomly click on something in the menu bar. I feel like every time I run Lightroom to edit client's images, it crashes at least twice before I'm finished with a catalog.

I have been (for a long time) experiencing the same problem. It will export only if there is no music for the slideshow.
