Crash logs are part of the system logs. The name of the faulting module from the crash report would be useful in identifying the cause.

Most common causes of crashes: out of date drivers (video card, printer, scanner), bugs in TWAIN drivers (scanner, camera), bugs in third party plugins.

First, make sure that your drivers are up to date (from the manufacturer, not from Microsoft).
If you have the optional TWAIN plugin installed, try disabling it to see if a scanner or camera driver is causing the crash.

Always a good idea to submit your crash logs with your name and email: Submitting Crash Reports: http://adobe.ly/gNJWVY

If you want to post one here the location of Crash Reports is here:
Users//Library/Logs/CrashReporter
