LIGHTROOM - Every time I use the brush tool, no matter how I change the settings, the brush just tints everything red. What's happening?

I've tried resetting the brush tool and changing just about all brush tool settings, but the same think keeps happening. Every time I use the brush tool on an image, it tints the image red wherever the brush was applied. The edges are less dense so that it has a spray-paint effect. First image shows what this looks like and second image shows brush-tool settings at the time this red brush stroke was made.

You have the overlay showing. The overlay can be a helpful way to see where the brush stroke has been applied. You can toggle it on and off by pressing the "o" key on your keyboard (that's the alphabet character O, not the number zero).
