I get this error when I try to move a grouped set of images around in the Grid view:

An internal error has occurred.

Database "/Users/James/Pictures/Lightroom/Weddings 2014.lrcat": AgLibraryCollectionImageOzSortOrder.positionInCollection may not be NULL
Statement: INSERT OR REPLACE INTO AgLibraryCollectionImageOzSortOrder
( collectionImage, collection, positionInCollection, ozSortOrder )
VALUES( ?, ?, ?, ? )

This is running Lr 5.5.

Me too! Somebody please help us... Didn't have this problem before the update...
I have all my photos added to a collection, and when I want to move images, or even one image as a custom order (instead of time captured) it gives me the exact same error pop-up message.

I cannot duplicate this error on my systems.

I would recommend trying a preference file reset: http://www.lightroomforums.net/showth...

Are you doing it within the folder or within a smart collection? I am within a smart collection.

Custom order is not supported in Smart Collections. You can only do this in Folders and Static Collections.

The error magically disappeared.

What I did was go to an old completed collection from before Lightroom 5.5, move around some photos (custom order), and it worked.

Went back to the collection I was initially working on (that had the error when I moved things around) And the error didn't pop up again.... We'll see how long this lasts.

Hmmm. Try it out guys.

Hi there, I think I can help when and why this error occurs.

What works:

If all discs where all the files in the collection are stored are online, sorting/moving files works

It does not work when

If only one file in a collection exists, where the disc it is stored is offline. it fails.

This is clearly a bug, as it worked with earlier versions. I hope Adobe monitors this thread, as I have not found a problem submission form.

It happens to me too sometimes, on two different machines. It usually happens when I work in a collection that is filtered (in my case to more than or equal to 3 stars). It happens with single photos or group photos with no apparent cause.

A workaround for me is to turn off the filter and move the image, then turn the filter on again. This seems to re-initialize the postionInCollection field and then it works again.
