My computer crashed while working in Lightroom 5.5 64 bit Now it will not open. I keep getting the error report that it will fix itself the next time it is opened. So I closed everything down and restarted my computer. After that didn't work and I am still getting the same error message, I went into setup and re-installed Lightroom and I am still getting the error message. Anyone out there have any suggestions.

Delete the preview cache (i.e. delete the "catalog" Previews.lrdata folder in with your catalog).

Delete the whole .lrdata folder and nothing else.

Yes. Go to the folder that contains your catalog and rename or delete the associated folder called "yourcatalogname Previews.lrdata". That is the Preview Cache that has been corrupted, probably by the computer crash. After you have done that, Lightroom should start (it will create a new Previews Cache automatically).
