Hello,

I have just installed and used Lightroom 3 for the first time. First of all, it's an amazing software!

I am here because I have a bit of a problem. I edited a photo and exported it to my desktop. I opened Properties of that photo and entered author info. I went back to Lightroom 3 to make some adjustments to that photo and re-saved it using the same file name. I then opened Properties again to enter the author info (because it was blank). But when I click Apply or OK, I get this error:

Error code 0x80070216 arithmetic result exceeded 32 bits

So far, this problem seems to occur on this photo only. I am using Windows 7 64 bit. If anyone could tell me what is wrong and how to fix it, I very much appreciate.

Are you editing the properties/metadata in Windows Explorer, or in Lightroom?

If you're trying to edit metadata in Windows: stop, you will cause problems (Windows has a lot of bugs in that area).

Thank you for your reply. I was trying to enter properties info in Windows Explorer. I wonder why the error comes up on this photo only and not the others. Could it be because I re-edited and saved it again?

I'm a newbie, so I'm sorry to ask a newbie question... But what is metadata and how can I enter properties/metadata in Lightroom?

Yes, it could be a bug in Explorer triggered by editing metadata written by other applications. Again, they have a lot of bugs in that area.

Yes, you can edit metadata in Lightroom - consult the manual/online help.
