When using my photoshop elements 10 I am geeting the error 'Start Processing Multiple Files File: "G:\FSP\SISP\Thumbnail Images\SISP_1_030_Th.tif"
Error: The parameters for command "Save" are not currently valid. (-25923)' when trying to copy .tif images to .jpg images. I am using windows 7 OS. This command did work previously but is now failing.

Are the tiff files being opened through Camera Raw when opened? Are they in 16bit or in a color space other than RGB?

I went to one of the images, right clicked to properties and I see 'Color representation sRGB'

If you open one of the tiff file in Elements and go to Image>Mode> what are the settings in that menu?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Process mulitple files not working for file format conversion from tif to jpg.

Process mulitple files not working for file format conversion from tif to jpg. Keep getting the error 'File: "G:\FSP\SISP\Thumbnail Images\ProcessMultipleFiles.txt"
Error: Could not complete your request because Photoshop cannot recognize the file extension. (-25600). I think the file extension jpg is changed to sjpg for some reason. I'm running windows 7 and PS Elements 10. John

How many files are you processing? Do any of the files process or do they all fail?

Processing 12 images of about 4 meg each, they all fail. They are scanned from my Epson scanner and put into my directory. I direct PS Elements to go to that directory using the Process multiple files command.

Is the file extension for those files correct? (spelling: e.g. .tif and not .ift) (type: e.g. the file is actually a jpeg file but has the wrong extension .tif)

That looks OK. The extension is tif and properties says tif too. I could mail you an image if you wish.
