Photoshop: Error message saying, "Could not save ___ because fonts could not be found on the system," even when I had not used the type tool at all.

Randomly now when I try to save, an error message pops up saying, "Could not save ____ because fonts could not be found on the system," even when I had not used the type tool at all. The problem began after I installed Mojave for my Mac and solved the issue of Photoshop crashing every time I opened it. The file remains at 0% saved after showing this message, so I have to force quit PS every time.

Anyone know what to do? I've had no luck searching for the solution, and this seems so bizarre that I wouldn't know where to start.

What version of Photoshop? Are you using any font management plug-ins? It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help > System Info... and copy/paste the text in a reply.

I am having the exact same issue even when I have not used the font tool..
Doesn't matter what filetype I try and save it as either.

*UPDATE* You need to allow photoshop access to files, this has fixed it for me!
System preferences - Security & Privacy - Accessibility (privacy) - check the box for photoshop.
Hope this solves it for you too!!

I had this problem too, even with Photoshop granted access in Security & Privacy.  The thing I tried that finally solved it was turning off "Save in background" in Photoshop preferences.  Hope that helps anyone else with this problem!

Can someone please fix this issue? I cannot name the number of times my computer has crashed and because photoshop auto-saved, hours of work was not wasted. A system update should not require one to turn off this function to still save your work. Please someone find a way to repair this!
