Photoshop CC 2015.5.1: Document size presets are wrong

When creating a new canvas sized A4 (File > New > International > A4) I expected to get a 297 x 210 mm document. After the 2015.5.1.20160722 update Photoshop CC presents the size: 1016,25 x 1016,25 mm in the dialog. The size can not be altered to anything less 1016,25.

In order to create a A4 canvas one needs to select Custom and key in 210 x 297 mm.

Mac or PC ?
Can't reproduce the error, works perfectly fine here with 2015.5.1 20160722.r.156 - you didn't accidently pressed the "save as preset" button ?

i would suggest clearing the preferences with the next startup of PS - alternatively reinstalling.

I am being copied in to dozens of complaints about flaws in Elements 14 which are causing widespread dissatisfaction across a wide range of users (including myself)!  I feel very strongly that Adobe should commit to ironing out these blips in the software as soon as possible, after all, this is not a cheap purchase, and offer users an updated download to correct them.  If this does not happen, users will simply abandon PE and switch to another software package!

If that happens, Adobe will lose a great deal of goodwill.

wrong thread - this is a system specific issue with PS 2015.5.1 20160722.r.156 - not PE !

PC. No, I did not press the "Save as preset" button. The error occurs on all included document size  presets Even US-letter (which I have never used before) appears with 1x1 inch!

Never seen this exact error before - i'm pretty confident it's a problem with corrupted files and/or possible permission problems.

the typical culprit would be problems in USER > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5 > Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5 Settings

Try deleting New Doc sizes .psp and .json files first off all -
if that doesnt help, personally, I would clean house and copy the Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5 folder to a safe place than delete it from AppData > Roaming and start again.

Step 3 would be to uninstall PS (with settings) than reinstall.
Normally, though - cleaning prefs solves this kind of weird problems.

you might want to run CCleaner as well -

And I suppose you run Windows 10 ?

Hi Michael

I found more strange things like hardness-control disappeared when Alt+Right Clicking... and the menu background was no longer dark, but light grey.

Finally I followed your advice deleting the Settings folder - and it solved all my issues.

Thanks a lot for that advice :-)

Regards
Claus
