eok_lvalue_adjust and clc.exe has stopped working messages on PHOTOSHOP CC2015 startup (video driver problem)

I just opened photoshop cc15. Prior to this I downloaded AMD's latest driver for my radeon hd 6570 video board. As PS opens I get two windows messages: 1. clc.exe has stopped working and 2. in another black window I get eok_lvalue_adjust. I close the clc error window and the black eok_lvalue_adjust window blinks 3 times and disappears. This doesn't happen with LR or my installed CS6. Any ideas?

The first message (clc.exe) is about your video card driver. It is possible that your driver wasn't cleanly installed and has some old bits left on your system.

The second message is also an error from your video card driver, specifically the OpenCL driver code.

It sounds like you need to contact AMD/ATI about your driver and see how to get it cleaned up and working on your system.

Thanks....I notice I only get that situation when Use OpenCL is checked under Graphic Processor Setting/Advanced. Is that a clue to my issue?

Not really - since we already knew that one of the problems is definitely in the OpenCL part of the video card driver.

Disabling OpenCL usage in Photoshop will avoid using the OpenCL driver, so will avoid most errors in the driver.
