Why does enlarging my eps file gets pixely?

If an eps file gets all pixely when I try to enlarge it, is it really a vector file or am I doing something wrong?

We'd have to see the file to know for sure - but it sounds like the EPS file just contains an image, not vector data.

That would be my guess too. Just because the image is eps does not mean it is 100% vector. EPS can contain raster data too. We need to see the file.
