Lightroom: Problems using English language with foreign language keyboard

I can't use many of the shortcut keys in my english version of Lightroom 5.4 because I'm using a Danish keyboard, and that somehow seems to confuse Lightroom.
There used to exist two workarounds for this problem, Paddy and Keyboard Tamer, but they don't work for Lightroom 5.
Now, if Lightroom would give me the possibility to assign functions to the shortcut keys myself, I could solve the problem.
It seems to be a common problem out there (not in the US and the UK, but everywhere else). It is common for IT-professionals in non-english speaking countries to install an English version of their software (e.g. Lightroom) and then use a German/Danish/Spanish etc. keyboard with it (they all need a "local" keyboard in order to be able to write text in their own language).

Are you seeing errors with Keyboard Tamer, or do you just mean it doesn't list LR5 on the website?

It sort of ignores me.
For instance ctrl = for "Zoom in" in the Develelop module doesn't work with a Danish keyboard, so I changed it to the letter å using Keyboard Tamer 2.12. But when i press å nothing happens. (I'm quite sure I did all the necessary incantations: running LR as an administrator, remembering the "Apply your changes" button, restarting LR...)

I've just tested it here and it's working ok on LR5, so it might be worth trying another shortcut (perhaps combine with a standard English character or symbol in case it's tripping over the å) and if it still doesn't work, drop Tim an email.

Thanks for the answer. That made me have a serious go at at Keyboard Tamer, and it turns out you're right, but the whole thing is a little involved:
(1) Finding out which keys outside of a..z and 0..9 Lightroom recognises and which ones it ignores. Taking inspiration in e.g. the German internationalization file create a file C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.4 \Resources\en\TranslatedStrings.txt containing this line
"$$$/Application/Menu/Help/AdobeLightroomHelp=1⁄2 + ́ å ̈ æ ø ' < , . - / *" where 1⁄2 + ́ å ̈ æ ø ' < , . - / * are all the keys on the Danish keyboard outside of a..z and 0..9.
Then start Lightroom, and invoke the Help menu. The first menu item is now something like ◊ + ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ' < , . - / * (in stead of "Lightroom Help..."). This shows that Lightroom recognises the keys + ' < , . - / * but not 1⁄2 ́ å ̈ æ ø meaning that we can use only the keys + ' < , . - / * when using Keyboard Tamer to reassign keyboard shortcuts like ctrl =
(2) But even though e.g. , (comma) is a Lightroom-legitimate key you cannot use e.g. ctrl , because that combination will be ignored by Lightroom because it is already in use for Edit >> Preferences. So you have to systematically go through a list of keyboard shortcuts like www.lightroomqueen.com/free-downloads... and find all the combinations involving + ' < , . - / * that are already taken. The ones that are left are those you can use with Keyboard Tamer.

Thanks for all the help!

I'm glad you're finding my shortcuts list helpful. That's a great bit of detective work., narrowing down the cause of the problem.
