I have been unable to use PSE 6 or higher's Email utility. Every time I try to add an addressee, the program locks up. I am on a PC using windows XP. Help.

Do you use Outlook or another email client on your computer?

Elements will import contacts from other applications automatically. It may be the case there there is information within the imported contacts that is not compatible with Elements. Try recreating the Elements contacts file:
1. Close Elements Organizer.
2. Navigate to: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Organizer\Settings)
3. Delete Contacts.xml.
4. Relaunch Elements Organizer and try to send an email.

Back to the first question, do you use an email client like Outlook. Photoshop Elements can read from such client address books to take the contacts out and use them. It could be that there is information in these contacts which conflicts with Photoshop Elements.

Is the Contact list blank when you try to add the new contact?

Are there any special or extended characters in the contact you are adding (such as symbols)?

Thank you for your interest. I'm still stuck.

My primary Email is through Mozilla Firefox. I do have Outlook on my computer but never use it.

There is one contact already on the list. I cannot seem to add any more.

The contact that I was trying to add in Adobe was my daughter - standard name and Email address.

Any specific help will be appreciated.

Thanks again.
