Email offer (from Adobe?) CS5 half price -- legit of phishing scam?

I own a copy of PS Elements 9 that I received free when i bought an Epson printer recently.
I received an email offer apparently from Adobe to buy CS5 for $299. Sounds pretty good and since I know CS6 is due out soon, it even sounds like it's something that Adobe might do in order to lure new customers.

But I'm not sure it legit.

It wants you to click the links provided in the email to purchase (with the provided promo code) but I NEVER click links I get through email. Never.

The email says;
"When purchasing from the
Adobe.com store, you must enter directly from your e-mail in order
for the discount to be reflected."

suspicious

I tried going directly to the Adobe Store on my own and looking for this promotion and even tried going through the purchase process to the point where discount codes are applied but it wouldn't take the one I had from the email.

So, sounds like it's a phishing scam to me but I just want to be sure, (because that's a darn good price) has anyone else received anything like this? Did you try it?

Thanks Jeff, I'll do that soon (on my way out now) much appreciated.

I'd love to take advantage of the offer, it's just that this looks like a classic phishing email.
