It actually works fine. You wrote that your email account is validated, what is the provider? (outlook, Gmail? something else?)

Try emailing to yourself and then add or change recipients. That is what I do on Mac mail

Unfortunately, these articles do not solve the issue. I have a validated email account (___@gmail.com) and good internet access. When ever I try to send an email through lightroom, it reports Unable to Send even with a small jpg photo attached.

First of all I understand the frustration, been there myself. Second, if you have already gone through the following and it's still not working, you may have a real support issue.
In LR, delete the gmail entry that you have. The goal is to start fresh. After deleting, restart LR. So there are no hold overs.
I use Gmail also with all the 2 step verification and app specific passwords which is not the easiest to get set up and working with applications.
Just open your browser and go to the Google.com home page, and sign in.
Buried in the various privacy settings is the Sign-in & Security section.
https://myaccount.google.com/security
This is the screen blue shield "Security Check up" on it. Now, scroll down the screen to the
Signing in to Google Section
Click the ">" icon next to "App Passwords"
You will be asked to resupply your password, please do.
This is where you can add the application specific password for Lightroom
On the Bottom, Click "Select App" and Choose "Custom Name"
On the Bottom, Click "Select Device" and Choose "Windows Computer" or "Mac" depending on what you are running LR on.
A box appears that will allow you to give it a meaningful name, like "Gmail on Lightroom", if you ever have to revoke one later, it helps to know exactly which one to revoke. Otherwise its a generic name.
The Popup that appears will be the 16 character password that you will use for your LR Gmail Access. Copy this information.
Click the "m only saying this because if there are multiple .lua files with similar names you may have to stop LR, clear out all the files in that directory and restart LR. It may be getting confused with prior attempts and it needs a little help for a fresh start.
I sincerely hope that this helps. Emailing a photo to someone from LR is easy and great to show some proofs without having to export, attach. Please keep the thread posted with the result.
