Premiere Elements: PRE and Organizer crashes with Aero

I uncovered what could be a problem in OE (Organizer Elements). This could be causing crashes and numerous unexplained problems in OE and PRE in Windows 7. Please see my post in the PRE forum titled: "Aero Problems on Win 7 With PRE, PSE and OE".
It appears that Adobe engineers are not making the proper API calls to the Aero interface. If this is the case; they are going around the proper GUI and making calls directly to the drivers or other interfaces for the display.
If this is happening; "all bets could be off " in regards to proper Windows operation. It could have many unexpected consequences and crashes in Windows. (It is like many of the old game designers going around the GUI for access to the display; not a recommend approach in modern system design).
I explain how I came to this conclusion in my post to PRE the forum. I could be wrong, but I would not trust OE management of data until this is fixed in OE and PRE. Until Adobe releases these products with the proper the calls to Aero and they act like other Windows compliant programs; I would not trust them with important data.
Your thoughts on this would be welcome.
John H.
PS These problems are mostly in OE and PRE which are NOT Aero compliant. They don't occur in PSE which IS (mostly) Aero compliant.

Hi John,
I had read your posts in our forum at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4240748. What I see is that the issue is not with Aero compatibility but is more of a multi-monitor support (that we consciously do not have). You mentioned that you have a lot of issues. Could you elaborate on the exact issues that you see?

What are the crashes you observe and when do you see them?

Regards,
Satish

Hi Satish,
Thank you for your response. I am referring to the "Elements 10 organizer crashing" in the PRE forum by teamflavin and others.
I did discover a statement by Abobe that dual monitor is not supported. But this statement is somewhat hidden and not well known by the user community. The fact that trying to use dual monitor appears to work but can cause crashes and unpredictable operations is not documented.
Wouldn’t it be better to use the correct Aero API calls for OE and PRE. Then dual monitor would work and programs would be Windows 7 compliant. PSE does apparently use the aero interface and works in dual monitor. This inconsistent does make it confusing; since it means that half of PSE does and half doesn't.
Dual monitor operation is a feature of Windows 7 and it should work across the board for programs to state that they are Windows 7 compliant.
Respectfully
John H.

Premiere Elements demands a correct graphics driver more than most software. Please try modifying the driver from the nVidia downloads site for your card. If for some reason the latest driver does not resolve the issue, you can even try going to an earlier version of the driver to see if that works.

If this does not get you closer to the solution, would it be ok if we can look at this issue for ourselves? Please send an email to prehelp@adobe.com in case you are comfortable with us trying to connect to your machine.
