Photoshop Elements: PSE 9 not working on Mac Standard User account - only on Administrator account

I haven't found another place to submit problems. I work with Palm Beach Photographic Centre where we have Elements 9 on a number of computers. On the Macs, OS10.5-6, there are 2 accounts: Administrator and Student as a Standard user. The effects do not show when elements is run on the Student, standard user account. If I promote Student to Administrator the effects show. How can we fix this? I ran permission repair and uninstalled-reinstalled with same results. How can we fix?

It seems like the Standard account isn't able to access the system files which are necessary to use those effects. There are a few places these files may be:

Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Adobe > Photoshop Elements.

One thing to try, is right click on this folder > Get Info, and change the permissions at the bottom to allow "Everyone" to access those files.

If that doesn't work, you may want to try copying that folder to the Standard account's Library > Application Support folder.

Messing with System files can be tricky, so be careful. Hopefully that works.

I figured something of the sort. It's just knowing what files and where. Layers don't work either but other things do. I'm a volunteer doing their IT work so I can't try it today. I'll go in tomorrow and let you know how it works. Thanks.
