Elements 6 no longer working

I have a similar problem. I have used Elements 6 for YEARS. Recently it no longer runs on my computer. I can not "load with" a jpg, I can not drop/drag a jpg, I can not start up Elements by double clicking, I can not start by right clicking "open", I can not start by "run as administrator".

It is impossible to open an image, or even open Elements 6 "empty".

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you change computers, or upgrade your OS?

Have you tried reinstalling Elements?

What happens when you try to launch Elements 6?

Thanks Chris for switching my post to the correct topic.

No computer changes. No OS upgrades. I have not tried re-installing Elements 6 (do you have a link for that). When I try to open Elements 6 empty by any method, nothing happens, no logo no nothing. When I try to open a jpg by any method again nothing happens.

If I try to open any of the same jpgs with Paint, they open right up in Paint.

That sounds like you're opening the wrong thing (not the app itself), or the install is damaged by something else going wrong on your system. Have you checked your disks for problems, and checked for malware?

If you downloaded Elements 6 from Adobe, then you should be able to sign in and get the download link. If you purchased a disk, then reinstall from the disk.

Thanks for the quick help Chris. I moved here to Florida about 4 weeks ago, and noticed the problem the first week here.

I am using the same desktop icon I have been using for many years to open or use my Elements 6. As I said it will not even open "empty" now so I have no way to see my registration code.

My system is working excellent and always actively protected by Microsoft Essentials. I run weekly scans & system is always clean.

Don't remember when or how I bought Elements 6, but I have no disk because I have moved three times in last 12 years including four weeks ago to Florida from Houston.

I have had my current e-mail address for more than 8 years, but not sure if it is the same one I had when I purchased Elements 6 (if I even got it at Adobe).
