I use Photoshop CS2 to edit my photos while using Photoshop Elements 10 as my organizer. Currently it is necessary to access Photoshop CS2 through Windows Live Photo Gallery Organizer. Can you tell me how to configure my editing preference in Elements 10?

Launch Elements 10.0 Organizer, Select an image and press ctrl+H to edit with Photoshop CS2. Else go to Edit> Edit With Photoshop. Its should automatically detect Photoshop. If not press ctrl+K to get the Preferences window. Go to Editing Tab and Mark "Use a suplimentary Editing Application." Browse to Photoshop CS2 and select it.

Thanks for the try, but this doesn't work. When I click "Use a Supplementary Editing Application", a pop up box informs me that Photoshop is already pre configured as an option. However, this does not appear to be true. I can find no way to access Photoshop CS2 via Elements 10. Perhaps CS2 is an older version that is not supported.

I am, however, able to access CS2 via "Windows Live Photo Gallery". This is my current method. Then, once I have edited files, I move them to Elements 10 Organizer. This works, but I am unable to use the Version Set feature in Elements 10.

Prior to installing Elements 10, I used Elements 4. It worked fine, but it is no longer supported. I wish I had it back. It was a better program.

If you have any other ideas, let me know.
Thanks again.

Richard, when you go to Edit> Edit With Photoshop option in Organizer does it open with PS?
Else try resetting the preferences of both the product. Close both the Products.

Windows 7: Click on Windows Start button and type %appdata% and press enter and it should open the Roaming folder.
Open Adobe folder and rename the "Elements Organizer" to "Elements Organizerold". Rename the Adobe Photoshop CS2 folder to Adobe Photoshop CS2old. Start the Organizer and try again by going to "Edit> Edit With Photoshop".
