Elements 10 and Windows 8, not closing properly

I reported this on the forum Jan 2, 2013.

We run Elements 10 on 4 PC. The new PC we got in December 2012 that running windows 8.0. On that PC, when we close Photoshop, the application closes. But you can't relaunch. If you bring up Task Manager, You'll see two items starting with Photoshop still running.

The only three things I've found as work-a-rounds are:
1) End Process under Task Manager
2) issue a "taskkill /f /FI "IMAGENAME EQ Photoshop*"
3) reboot.

See if it fixes if you run Elements as Administrator

Right click it when you launch and choose Run as Administrator -- See if it quits properly then.

This just made the "taskkill" stop from working. Needed to reboot or use Task Manager to close enough to allow a restart.

Our archivist that specialize in Photoshop is very good, but older (83). The machine he uses was upgraded from XP to windows 8. It would make all of us very happy if this would close properly. Because we say "When Boyd's not happy, Nobody is Happy!"
