Most problems like that are due to bugs in the video card driver.

What OS are you using?

And have you updated your video card driver from the GPU maker's web site recently?

Adobe wouldn't send out messages about updates to your third party video card driver. Your video card maker might notify you of updates, or expect you to download the updates when you run into problems. But we've seen a lot of problems with similar descriptions, usually caused by older video card drivers - and the bugs were fixed in more recent drivers.
