Elements 13: Keeps crashing

I purchased last week Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 to upgrade from my current version of 11 and have had the software crash when using it. It seems to install fine but randomly through a session of Elements 13, Windows 7 would pop up with a message saying it is not responding and shut Elements down - no Windows "blue screen" however.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Elements 13 with no improvement and the same Windows 7 window popping up saying it will check with Microsoft to see if there is an update for the problem but still shuts down Elements. On both cases of reinstall, I also made sure any aftermarket Plug-ins (I.e. topaz) were not installed by deleting any files in the Plug-in folder.

I then reinstalled Elements 11, and it seems to be working fine as it has in the past and hasn't crashed after several house of use.

Something seems to be wrong with Elements 13 on my system. I run all 64-bit software. My computer is a year old and very fast. I have attached the specsheet.

Please assist

Sorry for the issues that you have been facing.

Could you please help me with the event logs of the crash happening on your machine. To view those logs you can follow the steps shared at: http://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-...

You can post a screenshot(as shown on this link with details like .dll name and more information) of the event viewer dialog with details open.

Same problem here... after elements 13 installs on my 64 bit system it works for a few days then when I go to load it it later it stops loading at about 68 % of the program and hangs/crashes? I got a brand new computer with windows 7 with double the memory required and have been using elements 8 for years with no problems. whats going on?
