I am having the same problem. I read on another forum that a possible fix could be to Reset Preferences. I have not tried it because it seems like the problem would just come back. I just received a PSE 15 update from Adobe, but it did not fix the problem. List still does not update or change in any way.  (PSE15 on Mac 10.11.6 El Capitan)

I just Reset the Preferences, which did not fix the problem.

THIS METHOD WORKED for me. Go here:

Close PSE 15

1. I found the PSE Preference File locations for MAC. The Mac has 2 files and 1 folder that I renamed with an x at the beginning of the filename.

2. On the same web page, I followed the directions for the first bullet under Restore Default Preferences.

3. Launched PSE15 and the list works for now, at least. I did need to update manually some preferences like a few plugin locations, but most was still intact.

Try this, it worked for me. You delete the Machine Preferences file.

Beats the heck out of searching forever on the ADOBE site and finding nothing.
