Elements doesn't play nice with Yosemite.

For the last few months, I have been a part of the OS X Yosemite Test Drive Team. Since I joined, I have had a significant amount of trouble trying to get Photoshop Elements 12 to function well. And since the public release of OS X Yosemite, I have transferred off of the beta to the public release version and the following problems persist. Specifically when I use any of the tools in the tool bar. i.e. the use of brushes, sponges, selection, all within the expert tab have been unresponsive. When they do respond, the tool's image freezes onto my screen and I have to force quit the application altogether. Even in the force quit tab, the selected tools image replaces the mouse.
I've done a little research and it seems as though I'm not the only one experiencing these issues with Elements 12.
Any kind of solution and guidance would be significantly appreciated.

Thank you,

Logan

Yes, MacOS 10.10 shipped with quite a few bugs.

Try using the mouse instead of a trackpad or tablet -- apparently 10.10 has trouble with trackpads and tablets.

Also, make sure you have the Elements 12.1 update installed.

Hi,

Could you please try using a mouse instead of trackpad when using tools in PSE11/12? Do let us know if that works for you.

These issues with MAC 10.10 are fixed in Elements 13- the latest one out in market.
