Hey there Sheila,

Could be, there is something wrong with this new version although I have not heard of this before.  Too new to me for now.  But as a Windows engineer, my first thought for a canceled app is always that another app or driver is conflicting with it.  You'll need to provide a list other apps and/or drivers you have open at the same time.  Then, you will need to close all  of them, then open the each one at at time to add in while you have Elements operating at the same time, to see which one is conflicting.  Work over Elements per each one.  When you find the culprit we'll have something to test and get this resolved.  I won't be the only one working with this problem.

Anyone else who has had this problem can dive in here, along with our regular techs who might have suggestions, as we have a few talented guys in this forum.  Let me know what happens.  And, thank you for your patience.

Good day,

I am Larry Warner, Sheila's spouse.  Sheila is the Elements expert and i am the IT guy.  Her Elements 2019 is not working much at all.  Today she installed one 'action' and opened one photo and was working on it in layers.  I don't understand that but I wrote what she told me.  She received the error message in the attached JPEG.  As she tried to take a snipet of the screen she received the error in explorer in the other JPEG.

What have I done this past week.  Her C: drive is a 105GB SSD.  D: is a 1TB HD.  D has 902GB free space.  Both drives have 0 fragments and no errors in CheckDisk tests.

After the Scratch disk errors I read up on it in the Adobe Knowledge base.  I then uninstalled Elements 2019 and reinstalled it on the D: drive.  I went into the Elements setup and pointed the program to D: for scratch disk location.

The only app running at this time was Elements 2019 and Windows File Explorer.  Maybe Microsoft Internet Explorer.

The errors in the JPEGs occurred this morning after all the above was completed.  We head home Thursday after two weeks on Kauai.  She had plans to work in Elements on a lot of photos while we were here.  Elements 2019 would never run properly so she had not accomplished any of her work.  She is now asking me to uninstall the Elements 2019 and reinstall Elements 2018.  I'm hoping she will give me a day or two to see if anyone in the community can help.  We have not had any Elements issues ever dating back to around 2010 or maybe earlier.

I have not been able to find a  way to contact Adobe on Adobe.com.  I'm hoping someone can help us.

Regards,
Larry

This is Larry again.  Sheila doesn't use the iCloud, iTunes or other Apple software on her PC so she asked me to uninstall it.  However, she was not running the Apple programs before when Elements crashed.  Maybe some of them had things running in the background that interfered with Elements?? After that she rebooted and started Elements 2019 again.  It seems to be working.  She then opened up 8 very large digital book pages to stress Elements a bit and it finally produced an error.  JPEG attached.  As I stated earlier, I have tested both the C: and D: drives for errors and fragmentation.  But, she is happier now that is it running at the moment.  I will keep you all posted.
