Elements 20 (Mac) repeatedly changes preferences such that saving files is not allowed

PSE 20 on Mac wouldn't allow saving files and said I didn't have permissions. Looking through this site, I found a fix by resetting preferences to default, which works. Unfortunately this only works for a short time, time to edit and safe 5 to 10 photos, then starts again. Since resetting preferences requires restarting the software, this is more than a minor inconvenience! Does anyone know a permanent solution to what appears to be an Adobe bug?

It's not Adobe.  I'm a windows engineer not for Mac but I know there are permissions on files on a Mac computer.  It's called "Sharing" on a Mac.  When you open or save a file, it may have permissions or sharing grayed-out.  You need to click the disclosure triangle, then click the lock icon to unlock it, then you must give your Administrator name and password to change sharing (permissions).  Adobe is merely allowing you to unlock the files for a temporary save then it goes back to obey your Operating System settings.

It's almost but not exactly the same in Windows.  On servers for Windows networks there is a security module that sets permissions.  On Windows there is a security area also that sets it.  On a Mac they make it easier (as usual for Mac users) to reset file sharing.  That's all I have.  See ya.
