Switched from elements 14 to lightroom 6 & the folder view is not the same structure as my hard drive. I can't find my folders without scrolling through hundreds of folders

Right Click ([Ctrl] Click on Mac) on a folder and select "Show Parent Folder"

Lightroom only reveals the folders you tell it to show. You may need to this several times depending upon your folder structure.

I switched from elements to lightroom. Are you not familiar with elements folder structure? It shows the hardrive your photos are in.

I am very familiar. Unlike Elements, Lightroom doesn't show you a rendition of your drive in the Folders panel, rather, it shows you only those folders which contain a previously-imported image.  If you want your entire drive's folder structure to show, you will need to follow the instructions I gave you earlier to reveal parent folders.

Until you import from a folder-or explicitly tell Lightroom of its existence, it won't appear.
