Elements 14: Organizer fails to write metadata to some files without warning

In Organizer 14, i added person tags to a folder full of JPGs. When i write the tags to file using Command+W, the tags are placed in the files metadata - but not for every file! For some files, the tags are not written to the IPTC Keyword fields. Elements 14 gives no warning or error message.

I can see no difference between the files with the metadata added correctly and the files where elements misses to write the metadata. Images are from the same two cameras, have the same file rights, are sitting in the same folder on my computer.

I can add - and delete - Metadata for these images if i go manual, that is by clicking on the three dots close to IPTC and adding or deleting Keywords.  But if i try to write to the same metadata fields in the exact same images by using Command+W, it fails. So, it looks as if there is soming seriously wrong with the "Write Metadata to File"-command.

Are those persons tags in the 'People' keyword category linked with face recognition? I can't reproduce your issue on my side. That's perhaps because I don't use face recognition and store my persons keywords in my custom 'MyPeople' category, not the new 'People' one.
Could it be that there is a problem with the indexing on people recognition and that not all keywords are written until indexing is completely done?

Yes the person tags are linked with face recognition. But I don't think the indexing is still running as I can see the person or people tag in the attributes section for each Image. the issue is probably hard to reproduce , as writing the metadata to file fails only for some files . I cannot see the pattern , but if it fails for a file it fails consistently. I can try again and again, the metadata will not write to that Image, but pe 14 tells me it did.
