Re: Elements 13: Unfortunately, this may not be a problem because the program may have been written this way, if so, this is a suggestion:
Re: The Places Tab on top of the screen: When you click the Tab and then click the Map in the lower right corner, if map not already open, you get a switch in the upper left corner, that has a choice of Media, all the photos, or switch to Places which are stacks of your photos, sorted by Place, from I assume the tag you assigned when you processed the photo into Elements. In my case I have about 50 stacks of about 1,000 photos. The problem is that at least in my computer the stacks of Places ARE NOT identified by name such as "San Jose" but by the number of items is the stack such as "14". By the way, In Events and People stacks are identified by names such as "Graduation" or "Ed" How is that supposed to help you in any way to identify the place of the stack? Of course if the first photo in the stack if of a nationally known item such as the "White House" you would know the location. However that only works if your remember the place of that photo which could have been taken years ago. A real life problem for me. I take many photos of flowers. Suppose I went to San Jose in 2010 and just took 30 photos of flowers and nothing else and I tag them "San Jose". At least in my computer I would have a stack labeled "30 items" and a photo of a rose showing on top of the stack. Am I supposed to remember that particular rose was taken in San Jose. Or if I open the stack I will see 30 photos of flowers and I am expected to remember that group was taken in San Jose 5 years ago? I hope I am doing something wrong or please tell me what I am missing. I did spend hours with a nice tech and he took over my computer, and he seemed to conclude that this is the way the program was written. I could give you that case number if needed. Thanks for your help and maybe someone could get back to me at eradosh@gmail.com or 954 349 6394 (FL)
