Compact Flash card not ejected after import. I have seen same reports from many different versions before - still it worked in earlier LR versions for me. Since I am on LR Classic CC the feature does not work anymore. I have activated "eject after import" in import UI and LR tells me that it ejected the card shortly after importing as temporary message - but it is not. It never works since weeks with multiple different CF or SD cards. Cards stay mounted in OS.

Moreover, when I have multiple cards mounted and I activate "eject" on context menu of a specific cards (which is the context menu of one single item !) all cards will be ejected.

I have latest LR Classic release (which I upgraded to from LR 6 (which was updated all the versions back until LR 2).

I have a Lexar USB3 card reader and latest HighSierra:
Lightroom Classic version: 7.2 [ 1156743 ]License: Creative Cloud
Language setting: en-DE
Operating system: Mac OS 10
Version: 10.13.4 [17E199]

This sounds like a OS X problem. LR only tells the operating system to Eject the card. There is no real feature in LR to eject a drive of any type.
When was the last time you restarted your Mac.

I am restarting MacOsX every day. Might be that one of the HighSierra updates disabled LR to eject cards?

It's MacOS X that does this. I see the same thing sometimes. I have an AppeScript that deletes the images from the card and then ejects it. Sometimes it works, sometimes the card is not ejected. Not much you can do about it.

Interesting. I have the same issue on my Win 10 system.
