Edits done in Develop disappear in Library

I have done a few edits in Develop but they all disappear when I return to Library. By this I mean that the library version is the same as the before version. Is there a button I should be pressing to accept these changes in order for them to actually show up?

Nope, there's no button you need to push.

Just to be clear, if you make a dramatic/noticeable  change in Develop, like increase the exposure 3-4 stops, and then you go to Library, you're not seeing that change?

And then if you go back to Develop, you are seeing that change?

If that's the case, it sounds like the preview the Library module uses isn't being updated properly.
What Operating System and version of Lightroom are you running?

Exactly. I changed the temp, tint, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites and blacks. Got the photo looking really night and bright. Go back into library and it is dreary and all the whites are yellow.
Go back to develop and all my changes are there.
We just got Lightroom CC 2015 a few weeks ago. I am running it on Windows 10.

Is it a new install or an upgrade of an older version & catalog?  If it's a new install, I'd start by trying the easy stuff.  In no particular order -
  • Make sure your graphics card driver is up to date.
  • In Lr, turn off the GPU by going to menu bar and clicking Edit --> Preferences --> Performance tab --> Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor".
  • Verify/change your preview cache settings by going to the menu bar and clicking Edit --> Catalog Settings --> File Handling tab --> set the Standard Preview Size to "Auto" and Preview Quality to "Medium".
  • Tell Lr to build the preview manually by going to the menu bar and clicking Library --> Previews --> Build Standard Sized Previews.
Restart Lr and see if any of that makes a difference for you.
