How can I edit the list of scanners in the dropdown list when I use Get Photos > From Scanner. I recently tried downloading a demo version of a new version of LaserSoft, the software I have to control a Microtek scanner. The download failed and I had to reload both LaserSoft and Elements 5 from the source discs. Since then, the list of scanners references an obsolete version of the SilverFast Launcher and SilverFast hangs up the system. There are working versions of the Launcher in both SIlverFast and Elements directories that will activate the scanner when clicked in the corresponding Windows directories, but the resulting image is not directed to the Elements catalog. I cannot find the obsolete version of the SilverFast Launcher anywhere in my computer to replace it with a copy of the version that works so Elements can start it from the Get Photos prompt in Elements.

That isn't a directly editable list. The list comes from the scanner drivers you have installed. If you install a new driver, then it will appear on the list. If you remove a driver, it will disappear from the list.

It sounds like you need to work with LaserSoft to clean up their failed installs/uninstalls.
