Elements 11: 100+ edited and in-file photos have reverted to original photo. They were OK a month ago when I viewed them.

when I view file data it shows same info for both pics except for different file ID. Some of these pictures have been in file for several years without a problem. Apparently I will have to re-edit them all!!

Hi Phil,

What product/version are you using? What OS/version are you running it on?

Hi Phil,

Edits to images that have been saved to the image via Photoshop elements don't revert as they do not contain a history to revert to so I'm not sure how something like what you described has happened.

Could it be that you have copies of the old images that you are seeing rather than the other image files being reverted?

the photos have identical "names" but different "locations" and they appear to be identical. I suppose it's possible that I failed to save the edited version and somehow saved a copy of the original. Would that result in the same "name" but different "location"?

I think a pop-up asking what quality in which I wanted to save the edited version always appeared before I closed the file.

A mystery to me.

Thanks for your comments.
