Editing Capture Year does not work reliably

Have digitized many years of family photos and am editing the capture time to allow the photos to be displayed in chronological order. When using the edit capture time - in the "corrected time" dialog, after updating the month and day, I tab to the year field and type the 4 digit year. Many times the year is recorded properly, but frequently am only able to add only two digits to the year field. It seems that sometimes there are blanks padding that field that need to be deleted before the 4 digit year will "take". This is clearly a bug and is quite annoying.

This can happen on Mac if you type the four-digit year too slowly.  If you pause between digits too long (e.g. a fraction of a second), LR thinks you've completed entering the year. Then when you resume typing (a fraction of a second later), it overwrites what you just entered.  Very frustrating if you're not a speed typist.

Are you Mac or Windows?
