Lightroom: Edit in Photoshop suddenly not working after system crash

Yesterday,  I was working on a file in Photoshop which had come from Lightroom with edits when my laptop froze and I was forced to do a power button shutdown.  When I restarted my computer, I went back into Lightroom to continue my work but I can not get Photoshop to open to edit my Lightroom photos from Lightroom...

I have tried restarting the computer (2x), then I updated the programs...  Lightroom appeared to be up to date, Photoshop and Bridge were not... but are now...  I can open Photoshop separately, but when I have my file in Lightroom, all of the "Edit In" selections are grayed out and can not be selected.

The programs were working fine prior to the computer freezing up...  Any thoughts or ideas on how to proceed would be appreciated...

Thanks.

Joie

The only thing you did not mention (and should have tried first) is resetting the preferences. Lightroom often writes to this file, so if you get a crash during that process, it may become corrupt. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/hel...

Thanks for the reply Johan...  I wound up doing some more research last night and discovered that the folder that the photos were in got lost...  I had to find the lost folders...   I got suspicious when I was able to get the Edit In selection to come up when I had some other photos selected, but when I tried on the photos I was editing.... it wouldn't....  I went back to the folders and saw it was lost...  Problem solved....
