Edge bleeding in LR4.1 RC2

A couple of days ago, I installed 4.1 RC2 over 4.0 and have noticed very prominent edge bleeding, almost like hair braiding, where dark and light edges meet. Here are two examples:

LR 4.1 RC2, notice the braided hair effect at the top of the roof line

LR 4.0

I've since gone back to 4.0. I used to love Lightroom (since V1.0).

Here's a closeup of the problem in 4.1 RC2:

...and here's a closeup of the same image in 4.0:

No adjustments were made between the two photos - the files were simply saved from within the two LR versions. I suggest this is a serious bug (much more serious than the sluggish control problem, for example) as it adversely affects the quality of photos and can't be fixed in any way within RC2. Unless someone finds a better solution, I also suggest that users be warned not to use RC2.

Yeah, I know the bug's been reported at http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh... but that thread's been reported as "solved" when it clearly hasn't. My criteria for solved would be where an updated version has been released to the public AND the problem no longer exists. Plus the fact that Adobe should be warning people not to use RC2. It would be more appropriate to label that thread as "acknowledged" - do you agree?

[rant]What really annoys me the most is that Adobe seem to be asleep at the wheel. It's been over a month since RC2 was released and I haven't heard peep from them. Maybe all employees take holidays at this time of year. Maybe someone should knock on their door to see if they're still alive. Maybe they're afraid of a class action from many thousands of users who lost time/money/clients because of Adobe's monumental stuff-up.[/rant]
