What's the question Marky? To apply a preset, go into the Edit mode, select Presets and choose you preset. I'm not sure what you mean by "back and forth"?

It’s how users apply the preset for LR Mobile on smartphone. Specifically on iPhone. Instead of having the imported Preset right on the tools below. Does that make sense? Uploaded a screenshot to explain it better.

Ah, that's not a preset. That's copying and pasting settings.

To apply a preset, scroll along the bottom bar to get to Presets and then tap on the chosen preset.

Some photographers are selling DNG files with settings applied, but that's not a preset, that's just a photo with settings applied.

You could save those settings as a proper preset though, by opening their DNG, going to the Presets panel and selecting Create Preset from the ... menu at the top. Then you can apply them the way presets were designed to work.

You're very welcome! Understanding the right words make it way easier when you're googling for related stuff too.
