duplicate images on import

Hi There,
I'm getting duplicate images imported from both my cameras to the new Lightroom Classic CC. It will import the RAW file twice on some images in a batch, but skip the .jpg. so I end up with img123.dng and img123-2.dng and no jpg and some images will import properly with the raw and jpg. It seems to be avoidable if I only import the raw images and leave out the jpgs.

Hi Ryan,

Are you facing the issue with specific DNG's or all the DNG files.
Are you facing the same with CR2 and other RAW formats?

Are you using Sync functionality?
Can you provide the steps and settings to help us better understand and resolve it?

Hi Bhargav,

I'm getting the issue with .nef and .raf files, from my Nikon D850 and Fuji X-T20. If I uncheck the .jpgs during import, all the raw files will import correctly. With LR 2015, the .raf + .jpg files would import correctly. I didn't have the D850 before I upgraded to LR Classic CC, so I can't confirm whether it had the issue there or not. Though I believe the D850 wasn't yet supported under LR 2015.

I am using mobile sync for a few collections, but not the folders I import to.

As far as steps:

- Plug SD card into my card reader or connect the camera via USB to import the images.
- click the import button in LR
- in the dialog, I have copy as .dng selected
- Photos are filed into their folders by date
- select or deselect the applicable images
- click import

When I go in to the import folder, I'll see all the images there, some as 2 .dngs and some as .dng+.jpg. I'd say about 20% of the images import incorrectly.

Let me know if you need me to dig further into my settings or send you anymore info to help solve this.
